Case Synopsis

Service+ were appointed by Convatec GDC to provide bi-annual PPM works which include 3 x Veissmann boilers and 1 x Lochinvar water heater and their respective plant equipment.
 

Case Summary

This was the secondary service in this period. The purpose of this is to identify any potential issues before they come a major factor following on from the major service carried out 6 months prior. We stripped down all the units, cleaned all heat exchangers, probes, and condense traps. We then tested all safety functions and completed all combustion performance analysis.
 

Problem

Heating boiler 1 had a crack in the casing of the burner dome. The boiler was isolated, locked off, tagged and a safety notice was produced after informing the responsible person on site.
